About Dr. Lisa Wright, PhD, MACP-Candidate

Lisa earned her PhD in Psychology and Neuroscience from Dalhousie University in 2011. As a scientist, she has co-authored two books, Stress and the Developing Brain by Wright and Perrot and Adolescent Brain Development by Wright and Kutcher.
As a therapist, Lisa is Yorkville trained, currently interning (September 2025-April 2026) at MCI Wellness in Fredericton, NB, under the clinical supervision of Amanda Hass, MSW, RSW. She also has five years of experience providing neurofeedback therapy to military veterans, under the invaluable mentorship of Dr. Paul Smith, MD, and Nathan Mazurkiewicz (clinic director).
In her therapy practice, Lisa strives to provide neuroscience-informed, trauma-informed, and culturally-sensitive care. She uses a combination of approaches and intervention styles, including CBT, solution-focused brief therapy, experiential, gestalt, existential, family systems, mindfulness and nature-based techniques. Lisa is happy to guide you through a process of discovering what techniques will be most useful for you in your situation.
